1,000 Trees Shanghai: A Truly Mesmerizing Spot You Can't Miss!
Forget the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, because Shanghai has its very own breathtaking version – 1,000 Trees, also known as 上海天安千树 (Shanghai Tian'an Qian Shu). Seeing it with your own eyes is an absolutely stunning experience. I recently visited this incredible place and put together some prime photo spots and tips to help you capture those Insta-worthy shots.
Best Photo Spots
- Zhongyuan Liangwan Cheng Riverside Walkway
- Simply navigate to Building 52, but make sure you don't enter the residential area itself.
- Walk along the riverbank, and near the children's play area, you'll find a truly outstanding panoramic view.
- Just a two-minute stroll further, there's a small ramp that offers a different, almost surreal, perspective.
- Directly Opposite the 1,000 Trees Mall (上海天安千树)
- This spot is located right at the intersection of Mogan Shan Rd (莫干山路), Changhua Rd (昌化路), and Aomen Rd (澳门路).
- Stand on the pedestrian crossing and strike a natural pose – the "Babylon vibes" scenery behind you will be complete.
- From here, it's about a 15-minute walk to the first spot. Along the way, there's a charming bridge that's perfect for a spontaneous photo stop.
