Sip Sensation in Sydney: Discovering Machi Machi in Wolli Creek
Australia Sydney bubble tea delights machi machi
Exploring Sydney's Asian Culinary Hub
Nestled near Sydney International Airport, the charming suburb of Wolli Creek is a vibrant Asian enclave. Here, you'll discover an array of fantastic eateries, from Korean and Chinese to Japanese cuisine, alongside bustling Asian supermarkets and a tempting selection of bubble tea shops.
During my trip to Sydney last year, I revisited a delightful bubble tea spot I'd discovered in Wolli Creek's Asian town: machi machi. It was such a memorable treat that a repeat visit was a must!
Machi Machi: A Taste of Taiwan in Australia
Machi Machi is a popular Taiwanese bubble tea brand, and thankfully, it's not just a Malaysian favourite! You can find their delicious creations in many countries, including Australia, the USA, and China. My friend and I both opted for the classic black tea milk tea. I added matcha jelly for a unique twist, while my friend went for extra tapioca pearls. A great perk is being able to choose your sweetness level. We both went for the standard setting, and I found that machi machi's default sweetness is actually the best way to enjoy their milk tea, unlike other places where I'd typically request less sugar.
The milk tea itself was wonderfully sweet yet refreshingly clean, utterly delicious. This time, I also tried the matcha jelly topping for the first time, and its slightly bitter notes paired perfectly with the sweetness. The texture was smooth and complemented the milk tea beautifully.
Beyond their excellent black tea base, machi machi offers a wide variety of milk tea flavours and refreshing fruit teas, making it a fantastic place for everyone to find their perfect drink.
If you're in Sydney's Wolli Creek Asian town and craving an exceptional bubble tea experience, I wholeheartedly recommend machi machi. You won't be disappointed! 💙
