Istanbul Transit: A Solo Female Adventure in Taksim
So, I had this amazing chance to transit through Istanbul 🇹🇷 and my luggage was checked all the way through! This meant I had some time to explore the city, and I was curious about visiting Istanbul. As a solo female traveler in Turkey, I did have some concerns about safety, especially since my flight landed at 10:30 PM. By the time I got out of the airport, it was past eleven. However, after researching safety aspects, I decided to take the Havaist bus to my hotel in the Taksim area. 😴 This way, I could easily explore the city in the morning and then head back to the airport conveniently. 🚶🏻♀️➡️
It turned out to be a brilliant decision! Istanbul is absolutely stunning, with its incredible architecture. It's a city that straddles two continents, with the Bosphorus Strait acting as the natural boundary between Europe and Asia. Visiting in April, the weather was pleasantly cool, although there's always a chance of rain. Thankfully, the day I arrived, the skies were clear and the weather was perfect! 🥰 I've actually fallen in love with this city and I'm already planning a proper trip to Turkey soon. Plus, the visa-free entry for Malaysians makes it so easy to enjoy. The people here are so friendly! ❤️
Environment & Amenities
For transiting passengers like me, managing expenses was a breeze. I opted to pay at establishments that accepted credit cards, so there was no need to worry about exchanging cash. It was super convenient!
