Macau Trip: A Taste of London Without Leaving Malaysia!

Planning a getaway without the hassle of international flights? We recently embarked on a 3-day, 2-night immersive experience in Macau that felt just like a holiday in London! It's amazing how you can soak in a truly foreign atmosphere without even leaving Southeast Asia.

Our Stay: The Londoner Hotel

For this trip, we chose the newly opened The Londoner Hotel, and it did not disappoint. The vintage elegance and British aristocratic vibe were spot on. Our room's floor-to-ceiling window offered a breathtaking view of the "Big Ben," making for some absolutely stunning photos!

Must-Visit Photo Spots:

  • The grand entrance of The Londoner Hotel
  • Beside the fountain at The Londoner Hotel's main entrance
  • A classic 1966 original London bus
  • A bird's-eye view from the Starlight Bridge
  • A charming bench in the Parisian Gardens
  • The lush lawn of the Parisian Gardens

Culinary Delights at The Londoner

We indulged in meals at various restaurants within The Londoner, each with its own unique and captivating ambiance.

Heng Chen (The Londoner, 2F)

Dining here felt like a royal affair, set within a palatial environment. This exquisite restaurant is open for dinner to the public, while other times are exclusive for The Londoner Suites guests. You can enjoy an extensive buffet or order à la carte from your seat. Prepare to feast on lobster, king crab, sashimi, scallops, foie gras, and more! Every corner is a delight to the eyes. Don't miss the King's Staircase, famous from a popular celebrity endorsement, and the whimsical Clown Corner dessert area – perfect for your Instagram feed!

The Londoner Food Court (The Londoner, 1F)

This vibrant spot boasts an indoor glass-ceiling design reminiscent of Covent Garden, complete with an outdoor fountain garden where you can even catch a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. It's open 24 hours, offering a fantastic variety of food. The presentation, from the tableware to the dishes, is incredibly refined. Their signature Golden Bricks Toast is an absolute must-try!

Churchill's (The Londoner, 1F)

Step into a scene from a classic British film with the retro décor of Churchill's, located next to the Crystal Palace. We opted for the Spring Limited Edition Afternoon Tea, which was presented like a floral Ferris wheel. The sweet treats were simply divine! Before leaving, we couldn't resist picking up some delicious biscuits from the Churchill's shop as souvenirs – a perfect reminder of our delightful experience.

Mei Xin Thai (The Londoner, 1F)

Hidden within a setting designed to evoke a British Victorian stable, this Michelin-recommended Thai restaurant offers a unique dining experience. The entrance features a bar area, and the overall ambiance transports you to the 18th and 19th-century London high society stables, complete with walls adorned with riding crops. Push open a secret door, and you'll find yourself in a Southeast Asian wonderland, with Thai cultural elements and colorful lanterns creating a truly magical atmosphere.

Shopping Sprees

No trip is complete without a bit of shopping! The Londoner, Parisian, Four Seasons Shoppes, and The Venetian are all connected by indoor walkways, making it super convenient to hop between them. We even tried our luck opening a Labubu blind box with my friend, and taking photos with our new friends added a fun, memorable touch to our shopping adventure.
