Hello, Paris Lovers!
My Dream Louis Vuitton Cake Experience in Paris
On Monday, June 23rd at 1:30 PM, I finally got to taste the iconic Louis Vuitton cake! The location? Prime real estate on the Right Bank, along the Seine, opposite La Samaritaine. Think Louvre, La Samaritaine, then Louis Vuitton – easy to picture, right?
They open at 11 AM. Reservations are only accepted for lunch (where you can also have cake!). Since we were just after cake, no reservation for us. We braced ourselves for a queue, but we got lucky! Yesterday, it was quiet, and we were seated immediately at a fantastic window table with a Seine view. Score!
True to the Louis Vuitton brand, the staff were lovely, efficient, and stylish. Beautiful people!
The cake and champagne are pricey, but I reckon the taste and ambiance justify the cost. I was super satisfied!
Apparently, it's usually packed, so if time is limited, booking lunch (cake included!) is the way to go. We'd set aside plenty of time, expecting at least an hour's wait, but we strolled right in – maybe it was the weekday? (While waiting, you can always take turns browsing the shops!).
We were told, "Cafe visits are limited to 40 minutes," but nobody came to hurry us along, even when we went over. The restrooms were spotless. And free, of course.
After our Vuitton experience, we headed to the lavish Starbucks near the Opera for a €2.70 coffee and a 3-hour chat (and a restroom break!). Heads up: the Starbucks restroom was out of paper towels, so BYO tissues!
A Quick Note

My apologies to everyone who commented; I'm so sorry I couldn't reply or thank you. Thanks for understanding. I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused to the group. I'll be more careful with my posts from now on!
