Must-Visit Shopping Spots in Bangkok, Thailand

If you're ever in Thailand, especially for work like me, and have some free time, why not explore these shopping areas? You might not always find something to buy, but it's a memorable shopping experience!

Friendly Reminder: Shop smart! I'm not responsible for the quality of the goods, okay? 😄

1. Where to Buy Authentic, Original Goods

Head straight to major malls like Siam Paragon, IconSiam, Central World... perfect if you're feeling lazy to browse a lot, want the latest trends, and new arrivals.

Don't forget to ask about VAT Refund!

2. Outlet Shopping in Bangkok

Check out places like Outlet Siam, or the Outlet Square Muangthong Thani near the Muang Thong Thani exhibition center. Also, keep an eye out for Thai sales events from June to September to snag deals!

You might also find discounted items at the airport duty-free shops if you're flying from Suvarnabhumi Airport.

3. Real Collection - Authentic Secondhand Finds in Bangkok

If you're like me and enjoy hunting for curated, secondhand gems, here are some places to consider. Remember to bargain if you love something, and always check the origin if you're really keen!

  • Siam Square One (สยามสแควร์วัน)

A well-known spot near MBK. You can access it easily from BRT Siam station. It has many Real Collections shops where you can spend your money. I often hunt for handbags and order watches at reasonable prices here. Be sure to take your time to choose carefully!

  • 2nd STREET CentralWorld (2เอ็นดี สตรีท)

Believe it or not, it's inside Central World! But it's on the 5th floor, in a hidden corner not even shown on the LCD map of CentralWorld, so it can be tricky to find. It's like a mixed bag, with different prices and brands. Prices can be high depending on the item. If you're too lazy to go all the way to Siam Square One, this is a great place to visit for watches, clothes, shoes, bags, and more.

  • JODD FAIRS Rama 9 (จ๊อด แฟร์ พระราม 9)

The famous night market where everyone goes for those giant ribs! You'll mostly find secondhand sneakers rather than real clothes here. Prices range around 300k to 500k baht a pair, so be aware that sizes and conditions vary. The fun is in browsing a night market and discovering cool local Thai or handmade items!

  • Real Collection Watches

There's a famous shop specializing in real watches in MBK. You can wander around the 2nd floor to find it. I can't quite remember the name!

4. Replica - Fake - "Good Quality" Items

It's fun to explore these too. Hunting for them is an entertainment itself! I don't encourage buying things from deceptive sellers. Just buy something as a fun souvenir of your trip.

  • MBK Center

This mall is near Siam and full of everything! Wander around and you'll find all sorts of stuff to buy. Ask around for places with "good quality" and that accept cards. If you're eyeing something, take a good look, take a picture, and then check other places to see how close it is to the real thing... then buy it. Bargain for the price because it's not always fixed, and the price changes depending if there's a box or not!

  • Pratunam Market (ตลาดประตูน้ำ)

Go inside the market itself! Similar to MBK, just browse around. The prices vary. Most of the vendors are Indian, so the air can be a bit pungent...

  • Platinum Fashion Mall (แพลทินัม แฟชั่น มอลล์)

Seven floors of goodness! There are so many shops to explore. Mostly clothes and shoes here, less watches.

  • December's Center

Next to Platinum. On the 4th or 5th floor, there's a small spot selling various replica collection items, including clothes, bags, and belts.

I'll share more finds from time to time!
