Important Info for Your China Travels: Power Bank Regulations
A reminder for all my Malaysian travellers heading to China! Starting June 28th, Chinese airports are implementing new rules regarding power banks you're allowed to carry on board (as carry-on luggage only, okay?).
- Branding and Information: Your power bank must have a clear brand name and readily available specifications. No generic, unlabelled ones allowed!
- Capacity Limits: The capacity must not exceed 20,000mAh, or between 100Wh and 160Wh. Keep those figures in mind!
- Crucially: It NEEDS to have the 3C certification mark, like the one shown in the picture. This is super important, guys!
You can bring your power bank from Malaysia to China, since Malaysia doesn't currently require the 3C certification. However, when flying back from China, they might not let you bring it on the plane if it doesn't meet these requirements. Be prepared!
