23 and My First Ever European Adventure! 🥰
At 23, when many are still buried in deadlines, I suddenly decided to pack my bags and jet off to Europe! The cool thing is, I applied for my visa from Taiwan – since I'm living here, it was easier and the paperwork was quicker. One fine afternoon, sipping bubble tea, I booked a Europe tour! I thought, if not now, when else?
Frankfurt, Germany
First stop: Frankfurt, Germany. Arriving at immigration, I was so nervous (my English isn't the best, so I was worried!). I remember the officer asking something I couldn't quite understand. I just smiled sheepishly, and he let me through (phew!).
Frankfurt was way more charming than I expected – a modern city with a touch of old-world charm, the romantic Main River, and German beer that's simply amazing. Sipping it, feeling happy and laughing like it's harvest season!
Netherlands
Then I flew to the Netherlands, cycling around the canals, munching on waffles, and taking all sorts of Instagram-worthy photos in front of windmills.
Belgium
Belgium was chocolate and fries heaven! Every bite was an explosion of deliciousness.
Paris, France
Paris was incredibly romantic! Standing at night, watching the sparkling Eiffel Tower, nibbling on a warm croissant, I thought: "Wow, I'm really in Paris!"
Switzerland
Next up was Switzerland – a place so beautiful, even breathing felt joyful. Snowy white mountains, crystal-clear lakes, everywhere I looked I wanted to snap hundreds of photos.
Italy
Finally, Italy. Rome was ancient and cool, oven-baked pizza smelled divine, gelato was the perfect treat on a hot afternoon, and those Italian guys sure knew how to sweet-talk!
12 days, 6 countries, sleeping on trains and buses, eating instant noodles with Italian sauce, getting lost in the backstreets of Paris, and some mornings waking up not even remembering which country I was in.
Youth, right? All you need is a suitcase, a visa, and a heart eager for fun to turn the world into a playground. And I did just that at 23!
My first European experience was utterly fantastic! 😂 But, going in the summer meant the sun was blazing hot!
