Jordan Trip Review: Different, Wild & Worth It!
Hey fellow travel kakis!
Just got back from an unforgettable trip to Jordan, a captivating Middle Eastern country with ancient landscapes, legendary deserts, and incredibly rewarding experiences. It's truly an experience that opened my eyes to the beauty outside of our usual travels. Though Jordan isn't in Europe, since travel stories about Jordan can be hard to find, I'm excited to share my itinerary and some tips for those planning a visit!
Suggested Itinerary: 5 Days 4 Nights
(Perfect to combine after a trip to Egypt, Turkey, or as a stopover from Europe)
- Day 1: Fly to Amman – visit the ancient city of Jerash – travel to Petra
- Day 2: Explore Petra – one of the New Seven Wonders of the World (surreal scenery, lots of walking, bring water and hiking shoes)
- Day 3: Wadi Rum – jeep safari through the desert, watch a breathtaking sunset like on another planet at Aicha Luxury Camp
- Day 4: Travel back to Amman – visit the Citadel & Roman Theatre, float in the Dead Sea
- Day 5: Relax, take photos at a Dead Sea resort – head to the airport for your next adventure
Major Plus Points:
- Petra & Wadi Rum are even more beautiful than expected – untouched, mysterious, and incredibly cinematic
- The Dead Sea is super unique, you float effortlessly without needing to swim
- Jordanians are friendly, and the country feels quite safe
- Arab cuisine is both exotic and delicious
Things to Note:
- Bring your own towel, swimwear, and good walking shoes
- Spring (April-May) is the best time to visit – cool weather, beautiful scenery, not too hot
- If flying from Europe, consider Turkish Airlines, Royal Jordanian, or connecting through Egypt
If you'd like a detailed itinerary or more photos, let me know! Hope this helps anyone dreaming of exploring the Middle East.
