Chu Trang Ancient Town: Is it Worth the Visit, Lah?

So, is Chu Trang Ancient Town really berbaloi (worth it) to visit? We drove there sendiri (ourselves), you know.

Driving Tips, Malaysian Style

If you're driving sendiri, don't park at the Chu Trang Ancient Town Visitor Center carpark, okay? It's super far from the old town! Park at Fuguiyuan carpark je. It's free and dekat (near) the scenic area entrance.

Free Entry? Seriously?

You can enter Chu Trang Ancient Town percuma (free) before 7:30 am and after 9:00 pm! If you book a B&B dalam (inside) the old town, your tauke (boss/owner) can pick you up! Because the 100 yuan ticket price... alahai (oh dear), a bit pricey lah!

Breakfast Syok (Awesome) in the Ancient Town

After entering and following the signs, we found Xin Zhenyuan for breakfast. I ordered pan-fried crab roe omelette, beef siu mai, shrimp wontons, and osmanthus sweet-scented bean paste buns – all sedap (delicious)! No dodgy choices, no "thunder" (bad experiences) at all! And the best part? Inside the scenic area, you can eat a meal for just ten yuan! Memang berbaloi (really worth it)! Try to sit by the window on the 2nd floor to makan (eat) while enjoying the old town view! So nice!

Wandering Around the Water Town

After eating, we strolled around the ancient town. No wonder they call it the No. 1 Water Town in China! Everywhere you look, there are Ming and Qing dynasty buildings with white walls and black tiles, little bridges, and flowing water. The scenery is really beautiful! The photo opportunities are memang (really) special!

Final Verdict?

For me? Totally berbaloi! The scenery is so beautiful, once you go, you won't want to come back! Betul betul (really really)!
