Recently, someone in Paris was fined €150 for bringing a 1.3-meter tall plant onto the metro!
Sounds unbelievable, right? But it's true! This incident has brought an overlooked regulation back into the spotlight, and now RATP (the Paris metro operator) is seriously cracking down!
So, What's the Rule?
- Suitcases, bags, and luggage longer than 75 cm: ❌ Not allowed on the métro, RER, or Montmartre funicular.
- Items up to 2 meters long (like skis): OK ✅, if they're no more than 20cm wide and you hold them upright.
- Strollers: Recommended to fold them before boarding.
